Mission Statement

Support, Inspire, Challenge to Achieve

Our Mission Statement:

At 91±¬ÁÏ Grammar school students are supported, inspired and challenged to achieve their very best in all that they do in order to reach their full potential and academic excellence. Students develop into independent, confident, open-minded, life-long learners ready to take their place as leaders in the 21st century. They will develop into well-balanced, articulate, principled and responsible global citizens, with cultural and international awareness, who positively contribute to our school and the wider community.

VALUES

Students learn best when they are happy and valued; supported, challenged and encouraged, so at 91±¬ÁÏ Grammar School we take care to ensure our students’ education is both enriching and enjoyable. Academic excellence is at the heart of our school, but we nurture equally creativity, personal and physical development, independence and inquiring minds.

We aspire to be a truly 21st Century school, concerned not just with what our students learn, but with how they learn, and how they grow in confidence, independence and critical thinking. We are an Advanced accredited ‘Thinking School’ (July 2017).

The success of 91±¬ÁÏ is due to a strong partnership between staff, students and parents and a clear understanding of our core values.

Promoting British Values

91±¬ÁÏ Grammar School firmly believes in promoting British Values. Much of this is through our lessons and assemblies where we teach the importance of:

The Rule of Law
We understand the difference between right and wrong and the consequences of breaking rules and laws.

Democracy
We can make decisions and participate, so that our voices are heard. We have a Student Voice.

Individual Liberty
We hope to have the wisdom to make the correct choices for ourselves.

Mutual Respect
We work together to help one another. We forgive people. We treat other people with respect and friendship.

Tolerance of other Faiths and Beliefs
We have a diverse society and we have compassion for others. We do not accept the discrimination of others.

When students leave 91±¬ÁÏ Grammar School they will be well prepared for life in modern Britain. Students will not only have achieved their full potential academically but they will also have developed into well rounded individuals with an appreciation of mutual respect, tolerance and cultural diversity.
