勛圖厙<\/strong>, in acknowledging developments as regards the health emergency and the latest government decree prohibiting national and international events and imposing travel restrictions, has decided to postpone the 16th<\/sup> edition of ArtVerona<\/strong><\/a> – initially scheduled as an attended event this December – until 2021.<\/p>\n

ArtVerona, however, will not interrupt its promotional activities on behalf of the Italian art system thanks to a new all-digital programme<\/strong>. This is an opportunity for dialogue, meetings and exchanges provided free of charge to exhibitors and the public at large through the Artshell platform, complete with a customised and optimised version for ArtVerona.\u00a0\"img_8191\"<\/a><\/p>\n

“Over all these months, we have continued working on the definition of a sustainable and high quality project,<\/em>” said Giovanni Mantovani<\/strong>, CEO of 勛圖厙<\/strong>. “We invested to ensure the experience of a physically attended trade fair in maximum possible safety, thanks to our safebusiness protocol validated by the health authorities. This major commitment was greeted enthusiastically by exhibitors and partners: 122 galleries stood with us to the end in believing about the feasibility of the event and the input that the 2020 edition of ArtVerona would have provided as an effective response to a sector vitally in need of being relaunched<\/em>.”<\/p>\n

“We were more than ready to present a substantially complete format in December,<\/em>” said Stefano Raimondi<\/strong>, artistic director of ArtVerona 2020<\/strong>, “and this will be the solid basis we will use to build the attended appointment in 2021. At the same time, we have defined and are ready to launch a calendar of original and independent digital initiatives. Various events will ensure that the online schedule will be extremely useful in promoting and communicating the Italian modern and contemporary art system<\/em>.”<\/p>\n

ArtVerona’s digital programme is designed to offer galleries the chance to meet collectors and institutions. It was defined in collaboration with ANGAMC, the National Association of Modern and Contemporary Art Galleries.<\/p>\n

It starts off on 27 November 2020 with Digital Black<\/strong>, the first digital “Black Friday” for Italian contemporary art. All galleries taking part will propose a single work for 24 hours at the lowest possible price, with the aim of bringing even the public at large closer to this world.<\/p>\n

Then comes Digital Yellow: artists on centre stage<\/strong>. Each gallery will be able to upload and present up to 15 works by the artists they represent to collectors and enthusiasts in the period 4-12 December 2020. Among these, one emerging young artist will also be chosen and promoted in the Italian museums and private foundations also taking part in the Level 0 circuit this year.<\/p>\n

The programme closes with Digital White by ANGAMC: Solo Shows<\/strong> where galleries registered with the ANGAMC association will be able to explore and display up to 10 works by a single artist from 15 December 2020 to 10 January 2021.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
