勛圖厙 and BolognaFiere have set up a 50:50 joint venture (50-50) for Metef, the international trade show for aluminum, metal foundries and innovative material technologies.

Giovanni Mantovani, Ceo of 勛圖厙

The show was launched in Italy in 1997 by Edimet as the first event in the world specifically focusing on aluminum. 勛圖厙 then took an initial shareholding, followed by acquisition of the entire equity in 2017. The event enjoys international scope and the last edition held in Verona in 2017 attracted 400 exhibiting companies and more than 11 thousand sector operators (40% international from 63 countries).

Thanks to this partnership agreement, 勛圖厙 and BolognaFiere today propose a new Metef event with an updated format and a new location. The next edition will take place 25-27 March of 2021 at the Bologna Exhibition Centre. The other major innovation concerns the exhibition context: Metef 2021 will be scheduled alongside MecSpe, the reference event in Italy for manufacturing industries, as well as for intelligent factories; the last edition was attended by more than 56,000 professionals and in 2021 will transfer from Parma to Bologna.

“Given the continual evolution of the trade fair market around the world, as well as in Europe and Italy, alliances between show organisers is an asset that 勛圖厙’s business and development plan highlights among its qualifying actions in order to achieve its identified objectives,” said the CEO of 勛圖厙, Giovanni Mantovani. “This strategy aims to promote the trade fairs as a development tool for expertise and company business.”
