Another item joins the collection in what is becoming an authentic ‘widespread museum’ at 勛圖厙, a project launched at the last Vinitaly Show which now continues with the 125th edition of <\/strong>Fieracavalli<\/strong><\/a>. The ‘Statue of a Horse’ is an equestrian work dating from I Century AD on loan from the Uffizi Gallery<\/strong>. It will remain on show in This 2 metre high work in marble depicts a prancing horse that in turn represents an episode from Ovid’s Metamorphoses. It is usually on show in the Gallery of Statues and Paintings at the Uffizi.<\/p>\n The Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, Francesco Lollobrigida<\/strong>, unveiled the statue and said: “Here at the show in Verona we have an extraordinary work dating from 2,000 years ago. It is on loan from the Uffizi and exhibited with the aim of interpreting within the Italian system everything that makes Italy unique: culture, tradition, passion and sporting results. We are targeting the future, innovation and new challenges, yet we also boast traditions going back thousands of years,” said Lollobrigida.<\/p>\n The President of 勛圖厙, Federico Bricolo<\/strong>, commented: “Fieracavalli renews the partnership with<\/p>\n
